October 2019 Newsletter

Can I firstly thank all the members who have helped support the club
in the last two months, especially with the boat auction and the soup
and sail night.
I can still now see the tables full of boats and materials waiting for
auction on that Sunday morning and the good turn out of members with
their bids.
Thanking Ron Kelleher, Peter Breton and the late John Bines Family
for their kind donation of boats etc which made a great sale and
extra funds for club. Thank you also to Tony Brett and Peter Bowery
for all their time spent on the Friday afternoon before sorting out the
lots.
The Soup night was another good event with a good turn out and
although weather didn’t allow much sailing I still think we all had a
chat and catch up. Again thank you Sandra and Peter for your work
involved to make it the evening it was.
Could all members please make sure that you put your names on the
Christmas Lunch list as we need to know the total of people wanting
to go by the end of October.
The AGM this year is on Sunday 8th December at 10.00am.
Can I just remind members that the club rules state that we should
not be using 35 meg for sailing, this is only permitted for Model
Aircraft, as I said this is a club rule. Thank you.
Now only to say looking forward to seeing you all at the Christmas
Lunch.
